Before the notary arrives.

A few simple steps help prevent delays or failed appointments.

🪪

Bring valid ID

Each signer needs acceptable identification. The name on the ID and document should reasonably match.

✍️

Do not sign early

For many notarizations, the signer must sign in front of the notary. Wait until instructed to sign.

Complete the document

Documents should be complete before notarization. A notary may not notarize an incomplete document with important blanks.

Not legal advice: We can notarize properly completed documents, but we cannot choose your document, fill in legal answers, or tell you which notarial certificate your document requires.
